In Nashville, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Tennessee, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. Typical hours are 10 amβ4 pm. It is closed on Monday, Saturday, Sunday. Nashville is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Nashville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

John, the owner, is an excellent resource of wisdom and trees. He has a beautiful selection to choose from and is more than generous with his knowledge in how to develop into the hobby of Bonsai

This is just a delightful place. They should charge admission - it is so peaceful. And if you have any interest in bonsai AT ALL or if you started and are finding that you don't have as green a thumb as you'd hoped, this is the place to ask questions. The prices are, if anything, TOO LOW! And the expertise is free :)

My fiance and I loved our bonsai class with John. To say he is merely "knowledgable" about bonsai would be a tremendous understatement, he is a master of his craft. During our class, a customer entered the storefront and John used the oppotunity to both solve a problem for the customer and dovetail it into part of the lesson at the same time. At no point did we feel like John was merely "going through the motions", he lives and breathes bonsai and is not afraid to share it with anyone who wants to learn.
